This is the result of my first Stash Bee Quilt Block exchange, a year-long quilting project that brings together 11 people from across North America. Each of us was assigned a month, during which we were Queen Bee — we gave instructions for a block, up to 16.5″ square, that each of the others would make for us. On the other months, we made blocks as directed by that month’s Queen Bee.
This was marvellously fun! For my month of September 2021, I designed a partly improv flying geese unit. I finally put the quilt top together in April 2022.
