Finally done! Front of quilt adapted from Simple Simon’s Peaches and Cream quilt pattern. I sized everything up to make 12″ blocks and added a strip of coins at the top to fix the aspect ratio and give me a nice Queen sized quilt for the happy couple. The bride picked this pattern and the basic fabric and colour way.
Fabric for the front was mostly warm colours from Laundry Basket Quilt‘s Linen Texture collection. I added a few Japanese textiles in yellows, browns and creams to add a little texture and contrast. The back is improv pieced from scraps from the front (I used every bit of that LBQ fabric!) plus odds and ends of Japanese fabrics and chunks of blue and white cotton. I love the back 🙂
