In an effort to clear up some unfinished quilts, (and to procrastinate about bigger projects I need to finish) I’m going to finish off my January Project Quilt.
I had all the blocks finished, so I sewed them together into the quilt top which measures about 72″ x 72″.
And, for the first time, I basted a quilt using my design board! This is brilliant, because 1. gravity is on your side and 2. you can reach every bit of the quilt to smooth it. I started each layer from the top down, straight pinning into the foam at the top, spraying my basting spray, smoothing the next layer, then moving down the piece.
Next up — quilting!
