I bought Edyta Sitar’s book Patches of Blue which arrived a few days ago, and I’ve been working on this appliqué pattern. I’ll post more details next week , but I just wanted to share a photo of my first blocks!
Working on Thousand Oaks quilt by Edyta Sitar
I’m addicted to appliqué pillows!
While I’m waiting for my copy of Edyta Sitar’s Pillow Talk book, I decided to buy and download the full quilt pattern from her website, which also includes the 18″ square pillow. The pattern is easy to follow — you appliqué a circle to a square of fabric, then sew the squares together to make a pillow or, in case […]
Shattered Quilt — covid quilt #2
I designed this on prequilt.com and made it for my dear friend, Daphna Levit. It’s my second quilt finish! I wanted a gradation from solid navy blue to white, with a green accent.
My first quilt – Peaches and Cream

Excellent mask tutorial
An excellent face mask tutorial with lots of intformation about mask making in general. Links to full instructions and free downloadable pattern in video notes. I love that this doesn’t need bias tape (which is hard to find) and has hints about making adjustable ear elastics.

After discussions with my […]
Mask of the Day: AB Mask
Latest mask for David: We wanted something large that would cover his whole beard. I also picked up some fat quarters and extra wide double fold bias tape so I have more colours/patterns!The pattern is AB Mask: for a Nurse by a nurse: it’s the third pic: it’s a jpg — print it out at 100%. Cut two, sew the […]

I’ve tried a few patterns and I wanted to share some links/tips for those of you who wish to make your own for your friends and family.First of all, these are not medical grade masks, obviously. But even cloth masks made […]
